ROUND THE ISLAND RACE
Wow, everybody was on the line in time at 5 am when the kites went up in 14knts TWS. After some gybes we founds ourselves packed between the Vo 60 Pleomax and the Open 60 Artimist. Artimist smoked away in the puffs but Pleomax drifted down the Solent and stopped us when we tried to overtake her in the lulls. Although it was a real early bird start it was great to be out on the water with the sun coming up and to be chased by 1800 boats. After we rounded the Needles the race became a stop and go race with a lot of holes and puffs. We crossed the line early afternoon behind beaten by a Farr 45... you will know what that means.
Great race though followed by soccer and beer.

We did quite fine until the breeze picked up to 20kts TWS around noon. Sonn it became evedent that we were too light with our sexy chicks aboard to keep up with Fair Do´s Kerr 46 and some of the other fellows.
Many real good guys on the water at this spectacular & great event!
We finished 14th over the line after exactly 7 hours most of the time sailing in foul tide.
